What is Haven ?
Buying a home should feel exciting, not intimidating. Haven is a personalized financial dashboard designed to help women feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their homebuying journey, with clear learning resources, expert guidance, financial aid, and a community that understands them.

Yet,
women are now buying homes at more than double the rate of single men, suggesting a demand for tailored support to navigate these challenges.
So what are we trying to solve ?
How might we,
design a new website for women in order to connect them with financial resources, expert guidance, and peer support to be financially prepared to buy a home?
What She told us ?
There are a gazillion things that I can't visualize!
I’m unsure how much I need beyond the down payment - closing costs, inspections… it gets confusing
Everything was new to me. I didn’t even know what flat rate, EMI, or down payments really meant.
So we made

To learn from real experiences, we spoke to 4 women and observed 2 real home-buying contexts to uncover challenges.

We wanted to build a hub where she can feel heard and catered to her own needs, so we decided to introduce one-on-one guidance with female financial advisors!
Organize your notes in one place
Women mentioned that they wanted everything in one place so we thought taking notes would be a good to add feature. So they can access everything in the dashboard.
Outcomes!
Sharing our work with fellow designers helped us deepen our insights and ensure Haven truly reflects the needs of women navigating home ownership.
